Philippine Christian University Summary: This research work was a survey of the 1,500 customers of the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) in Legarda, Sampalok, Manila. Documentation and fast retrieval of records of customers of MWSS was the main goal of this study. Since the document for archiving have increased over the years, manual searching of records have resulted in inconvenience and impatience on the part of the customers. The MWSS needed a system for filing of records to facilitate document verification or retrieval which may improve customers' relations. There was a need to finance a program that could encode, process, store, display, retrieve and print the required data elements for efficient records management. The researcher suggested a possible solution in organizing records in the agency. The use of high technology equipment such as microfilm sets and computer system was the appropriate solution to their problems. (2 tables / 6 illus.)*ebc
