Science education aims to develop scientific literacy among students that will prepare them to be informed and participative citizens who are able to make judgments and decisions regarding applications of scientific knowledge that may have social, health, or environmental impacts. Education in Science therefore serves three purposes. First, it prepares students to study Science at higher levels of education. Second, it prepares students to enter the workforce, pursue occupations, and take up careers. Third, it prepares them to become more scientifically literate citizens. This study determined the relationships of study habits, scientific attitudes and academic performance of 152 grade five pupils at Bacao Elementary School, General Trias Cavite.
