The purpose of this study is to analyze best practices of management succession planning on family owned business. Using survey method of 310 respondents, the study has shown thru the regression results that the management succession planning process, successor identification, review, and evaluation, feedback and development have significant influence on organizational performance of family owned business. On the other hand, t-test results demonstrated that there is no significant difference in the assessment of management succession planning between the 1st and 2nd generation.
