This book is a polyphonic orchestra, not the kind you can usually read in the textbooks in history-monophonic and monotonic beacause the only voice you hear is the author's voice. It only sounds like a clerk of court reading the proceedings. This book is different. You hear lots of voices in a narrative concert, and the author is the conductor of the polyphony. The concept is from literature.
