The destructive innovation heralded by technological advancement, globalization, and dynamic business environment has affected the performance of the small and medium enterprises worldwide. The SMEs in Ghana have also witnessed the effect of the phenomena on their business performance. It is imperative to assess the business practices of the SMEs in responding to these occurrences in Ghana. Therefore, this study assessed the perspective of the small and medium enterprises in the greater Accra Region, Ghana on entrepreneurial management as basis to develop business performance model. Methodically, the study used quantitative research design to gather data through survey questionnaire. A total of 202 small and medium enterprises within the Greater Accra Region were surveyed for the study. Statistical tools such as percentage distribution, weighted mean, Kruskal Wallis H Test, Mann-Whitney U Test, and Standard Multiple Regression were used for the data analysis. The data suggested that based on the business practices of the SMEs, there are two managerial practices - entrepreneurial management anchored on opportunity-based theory, and the administrative management anchored on the judicious utilization of organization's resources, lay along the opposite ends of a continuum. The businesses' propensity toward any side of the continuum is based on their business practices in terms of their strategic orientation, resource orientation, management structure, reward philosophy, growth orientation, and entrepreneurial culture. Based on the Stakeholders' Theory, the business performance of the SMEs was assessed from multidimensional level - financial performance and non-performance. Through the data analysis and related studies, the key findings of the study were discussed. The theoretical implications of the study were highlighted as well as the practical aspects. The business performance model was developed based on the findings. Finally, the limitations of the study and recommendations for key stakeholders were put forward.
