Summary: The study was an exploratory survey on knowledge, attitude and acceptability of credit cards among government employees. The multi-stage descriptive method was utilized. The survey tools were the questionnaires, interviews and analysis of records. The respondents were senior officers with a salary grade level of at least twenty-thousand and above. It was proven that government employees preferred 'Credit' as a mode of payment rather than 'Cash' in availing goods and services. However, the assumption that government employees were considered 'low income group' and 'high risk' by credit card companies were baseless. The reason why People do not use Card was their 'Indifference to Banks' and the perception that 'people were afraid to overspend.' *ebc
