Dissertation note: Ph.D. Philippine Christian University Summary: This study aimed to identify the relationship between academic qualifications and job performance of the Bureau of Fire Protection personnel in Western Samar for the period of July 1,1994 to June 30,1995. A total of 106 respondents were the subject of this study. The correlational descriptive method and structured questionnaire were utilized. It was found that the higher the eligibility of the respondents, the higher they rate in their job performance or they have a very satisfactory relationship. Training obtained has a satisfactory relationship with job performance, while educational attainment has low relationship with job performance. (8 tables/1 fig.)*e
